MA English Language and Literatureは、現代文学研究と応用言語学における高度な研究学習の機会を提供します。このプログラムでは、博士課程で研究を続けるために必要な理論的・分析的トレーニングや、関連分野で働くために必要な専門的スキルを身につけることができ、例えば、英語教育、編集、プロフェッショナル・ライティングというスキルを開発します。英語という広い分野での研究方法や実践に関する専門知識を深め、方法論の基盤を確立するとのことです。

このプログラムでは、学際的なアプローチを徹底的に行うことで理論的な知識と理解を身につけると同時に、芸術や人文科学に関わる英語を使う仕事に必要な実践的なスキルも磨くことです。その上、現代的な英語語彙と研究を構成し、幅広い理論的アプローチを学習します。言語使用における実践と、さまざまな文脈への意識を高めます。それだけではなく、評価や問題解決能力を高めることも目的としています。

入学要件

Second class honours degree
関連セカンドクラスの優等学位（または国際的に認められている同等の学位）を取得していること。

• イギリス以外の学位は、上記の基準で評価されます。
• 申請者が認められている大学を卒業したということが前提です。
• その他の同等資格をお持ちの場合、或いは関連する経験がある場合、ケース・バイ・ケースで検討します。目論見書やウェブサイトに記載されている応募条件について、異なる場合があります。

IELTS (Academic)
6.5　各6.0を持つ

TOEFL (iBT)
87　スピーキング20以上、その他19以上

PTE (Academic)
71　各65以上

MUET
Band 4

IELTS、TOEFL、PTE（Academicアカデミックのみ）は、2年以内に結果を発表したものが有効です。
MUETは、結果発表の日から5年間有効です。

プログラムの内容

コースの構成

フルタイムのMA English Language and Literatureは12ヶ月期間で２つの学期と夏期に分かれています。各学期は、15単位相当のモジュールを4つ受講し、夏期に論文を完成して9月に提出する予定です。

• ティーチングモジュール：5,000ワードの課題
• 論文：14,000ワード
  上記またはそれに相当するもので評価されます。

コースワークを指導するために、個人チューターと論文チューターが配置されています。試験はありません。
